We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team.
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are in optimal working condition. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, electrical expertise, and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.

Working hours - 8 h rotating shifts AM and PM
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: 40,000.00- 42,000.00 per year
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HGVs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Carrying out all maintenance and Inspection on a fleet of trailers, tankers and vehicles in line with DVSA and Ministry of Transport regulations and working to the guide to maintaining roadworthiness
- Conduct vehicle testing to ensure proper functionality - maintaining good MOT pass rate
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of repairs - NCE/ ilearn/ DPR s
- Skills:
Strong mechanical knowledge of HGVs and their components - NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification - required
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals Driver CPC is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
Experience within an HGV Technician role
Experience within a HGV workshop environment Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for repairs and maintenance
