We are recruiting an HGV Technician for a leading logistics company at one of their sites in Crewe. This is an additional role to a growing team in a well-established family run company that has been around for 20 years. This company are advocates of being green and efficient to reduce their carbon footprint.
The Job roles and Responsibilities:
As an HGV Technician you will have the following job roles and responsibilities:
- To look after the defects, MOT prep and servicing of vehicles
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain records on work carried out with job cards and record on the computer
- Set up purchase orders for stock and parts
- Repair mechanical issues with Class 1 vehicles
The requirements:
To be suitable for the position of HGV Technician you will ideally have the following:
- Experience of working as an HGV Technician/ Workshop Fitter/Mechanic
- Experience with Scania fleet would be advantageous
- Knowledge of using diagnostic tools to identify issues
- Computer literate
The Package:
The successful candidate for the role of HGV Technician will receive the following package:
- up to £24 p/h (days) £29 p/h (nights) + overtime paid at time and half
- 4 on 4 off shift patterns – 6am – 6pm / 6pm - 6am
- 20 days holidays
