Our Flex-E-Rent division provides commercial vehicles on flexible hire terms along with fleet solutions such as servicing, maintenance and repairs and accident management. We are now seeking Apprentice HGV Technicians to join our exciting nationwide training scheme. One of the major advantages of our programme is that you will be given the opportunity to work on a multitude of brands including, DAF, Mercedes, MAN, Iveco, Ford and more.

You will undertake a Level 3 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) qualification over a 3 year period. Your learning won’t stop there as you will progress on through our training and development plan right through to Master Technician. There are also opportunities to advance into management roles, from Lead Automotive Technician right through to Area Maintenance Manager. This also brings with it the chance to utilise our relocation policy to move throughout the UK should you wish.
Core Information:
Salary - £7.00 per hour in the first year, increasing in years 2 and 3 in line with skills and performance
Hours - 40 hours a week
Location - 38 Ashville Road, Gloucester, GL2 5DA
Apprenticeship Level -Level 3
Duration - 3 years

Responsibilities
- Working on a wide range of commercial vehicles in all aspects of repair and service
- Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
- Working with Lead Technicians on more complex and extensive diagnostic and repair tasks
- Assisting with keeping the workshop clean and tidy
Qualifications
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Motivation for the role/automotive and engineering interest

- Eager to learn
- Be capable of carrying out instructions accurately and methodically
- Working as part of a team and independently
Additional Information:
- Entry requirements: 16+, Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4-9 or accredited equivalent. Should you not have this you will need to complete Functional Skills
- 5 times per year the company will support you with travel to Derby or Motherwell where you will attend college. Accommodation with be provided during this 4 night stay
