SalaryOur client in Bicester is looking for a HGV1 driver to support their operation as a shunter. This role will be shunting trailers and units around the yard on a night shift. This will be 5 x shifts per week.
The role will be starting immediately.
Duties:
- Driving HGV1 vehicles to move trailers and units around the yard
- Taking out a load if required!
- All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use
- Driving in a safe and responsible manner at all times, adapting to the unit you are moving.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate vehicle movements
Requirements:
- Hold HGV1 driving licence
- Be experienced and confident in driving units and trailers, and putting on doors
- Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
- Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good Knowledge of working time directive
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence
- Good communication skills
Pay:
- £13.65 to £17.90 per hour (paid weekly)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 02:00am to 10:30am shifts
