My client is a large independent HGV Maintenance company with several depots around Scotland. They have been established for over 60 years and are the leaders in bulk transport, they are constantly investing in their fleet ensuring the highest standards of working conditions. Their huge fleet consists of over 160 vehicles, over 500 trailers and tankers. Due to their continued success they are now looking for a skilled HGV/Plant Technician to join their ever growing team.
About your new HGV/Plant Technician roleYou will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs and modification work on a variety of trucks, trailers and plantYou will provide technical work to the highest standards in line with strict health and safety requirements for equipment, machines and tools.Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performanceWhat the successful HGV/Plant Technician will haveYou will have an in-depth knowledge of a variety of Mechanical Handling Equipment to include forklifts, material handlers etcYou will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds level 3).Previous experience in a similar role as a HGV/Plant TechnicianThe successful HGV/Plant Technician will receiveCompetitive salaryAttractive pensionsPerformance based support and developmentCycle to work schemeNext steps
