The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, coordinating and managing shipping projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks within the department. This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively within a team and communicate efficiently with clients and staff.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain and enhance client relationships and expectations through excellent service.
- Work collaboratively within the department to achieve common goals.
- Interact with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to address their needs.
- Liaise with the head of the department to resolve problems and issues promptly.
- Follow company procedures and processes to maintain consistency and quality.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with all office and warehouse staff to facilitate operations.
- Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Arrange shipping and forwarding, customs, and installations according to client requirements.
- Apply for Export Licences and knowledge of CITES.
- Perform all administrative duties and tasks with attention to detail.
- Attend professional and educational courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Promote high standards of professionalism within the team.
- Be flexible to work away from the base and within other departments as needed.
- Answer office phone calls and assist with enquiries, providing helpful and accurate information.
- Proven experience in handling high-value freight or logistics
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Good Written & Spoken English Essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and use of office software.
- Flexibility to work in different locations and departments as required.
