AboutAn exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Wreake Valley Academy Bradgate Inclusion Unit as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis.
We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering high quality provision to our inclusion pupils under the direction of the classroom teacher. This role will include contributing to planning, delivery, and the evaluation of learning activities for groups and individual pupils, you will also be responsible for covering classes without supervision from the classroom teacher.
This role is perfect for someone who is already experienced as a HLTA or an ECT that is looking to widen their experience within the classroom. They must have HLTA/ QTS experience and have Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English. The main focus of this role is to facilitate learning across the broad curriculum and to facilitate the building of positive and appropriate relationships with their peers; this may mean dealing with challenging behaviour.
This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to be part of a supportive team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience of teaching pupils that are 11-16 years of age in our enhanced resource base.
The ideal candidate will:
Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or have the equivalent experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting
Have Level 2 qualifications in Maths, Numeracy, English, Literacy
Have basic IT skills
Have good influencing skills to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible
Have high expectations and work to ensure that all children can succeed in their learning
Be a team player that can adapt and be flexible
Someone who is patient and understanding of changing needs
Have a great sense of humour
