Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Required in Barnsley

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview:
As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with a wide range of special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to their educational and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons and support materials.
Assist students with various special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet their individual requirements.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
Collaborate with the school's inclusion team and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students.
Support students during break and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and engagement in appropriate activities.
Qualifications:
A minimum of HLTA qualification or equivalent. This can be done with the school for the right person so don’t let this stop you from applying!
Previous experience working in a special school or with students with special educational needs is desirable.
Strong knowledge of various special educational needs and strategies to support students effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
