If you have HLTA status and experience working with young people with SEMH then we would like to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled and friendly staff team that will support you to develop your career
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within the Alternative Provision, you will have the opportunity to cover classes as well as doing interventions and also giving some in class support
- Applicants should have previous experience working in KS3 and KS4 classes
- Be able to manage challenging behaviour and implement appropriate boundaries
- Have worked as a HLTA in a secondary school, AP or PRU previously
- Confident to cover groups where work has been set and teachers are not available
This role would suit a recent graduate who has already gained some experience and looking for the next step. Equally it would suit an experienced professional looking for a role with more responsibility.
Ideally applicants should hold the HLTA status but the provision will be willing to consider a particularly experienced individual who has done the role in a secondary school and possibly has a good background supporting SEMH students.
