The current post on offer is within a work area that contributes to the: conservation of Northern Ireland’s finest landscapes; conservation of natural heritage through direct action and development of management measures to reduce adverse impacts from wildfires; sustainable development through influencing the planning and management of landscapes; supports others to protect and enhance natural heritage through grant aid; promotes and supports access to and enjoyment of the countryside; provides advice on landscape issues pertaining to strategic development plans and development management plans; and the development and support of projects to facilitate peatland restoration. .

Applicants must, by the closing date for applications:A bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant (please refer to the CIB) scientific discipline.AND A minimum of two years professional level experience associated with the conservation or assessment of our natural environment (ecosystems, habitats, species, earth science or landscapes) (please refer to the CIB)OR A HND qualification or equivalent in a relevant (please refer to the CIB) scientific discipline.AND A minimum of three years professional level experience associated with the conservation or assessment of our natural environment (ecosystems, habitats, species, earth science or landscapes) (please refer to the CIB)AND A full driving licence, valid for Northern Ireland, that will enable the candidate to carry out the duties of the post in full. , Applicants should be aware that after an eligibility sift, should it be necessary to shortlist candidates to go forward to interview:The Panel will carry out an objective evaluation of the breadth and depth of information provided by candidates in response to eligibility criterion 1b or 2b.This will be completed on a scored basis.
