To be responsible for a complex and specialised caseload involving the implementation and co-ordination of highly-specialised treatment regimens involving the assessment, prescription, manufacture and evaluation of a wide range of orthotic devices, advanced casting techniques and management programmes. To provide assessment, diagnosis, planning and management of those symptomatic musculoskeletal conditions of the foot and lower limb not needing a surgical opinion in the first instance. To be responsible for the day-to-day organisational operation of the Podiatry Orthotics/appliance laboratory, service and associated Podiatry Department staff on duty.
