Highway Lighting Electrician

Fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a small specialist team of operatives and staff carrying out testing, installation and maintenance works to various street lighting assets and schemes across the city and surrounding areas.

Basic salary Circa £32,519 plus monthly bonus, callout allowance, seasonal overtime works.

• Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Core hours - Monday to Friday between 8am and 4.30pm
• Holiday Allowance - 21 Days + 8 Bank Holidays (rising to 26 after 5 years)

Purpose / key responsibilities:

• To carry out all works, other than electrical supplies owned or operated by a Distribution Network Operator, associated with the electrical systems for outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, equipment, and street furniture.
• To cooperate with the Company in the maintenance and upgrade of all systems associated with outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, seasonal festive lighting installations and equipment, and street furniture to the complete satisfaction and enjoyment of the end user.
• To carry out all works that are safe and without danger and damage to persons and property in the reasonable use of electrical systems associated with outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, equipment, and street furniture

Requirements

Essential

• Full UK Driving License
• 17th or 18th IEE Qualified or equivalent.

Desirable but not essential

• IPAF 1b
• Harness Training
• CAT C or C1 Driver License.
• Experience working on external lighting and signage
