The Highway Operations team has an opportunity for two Highways Labourers on a permanent basis.
Works can be emergency, responsive repairs, programmed maintenance, works to capital funded schemes and other associated work which may arise in the provision of the Highway Operations service.
To assist with highways maintenance and construction work, including assistance with laying kerbs and flagstones, paving, tarmacadam patching, concreting and drainage. To ensure that all works are carried out with a focus on performance, safety and quality.
This role involves a large proportion of time performing manual labour duties with elements of driving between work locations.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A CURRENT VALID CATEGORY B/BE DRIVING LICENCE WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO DRIVE A CAR/VEHICLE UP TO 3.5T (PICK-UP). PREVIOUS HIGHWAYS/GROUNDWORKS EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL.
