Main Duties:
- Lead and motivate the Highways Network Group to achieve service plan targets.
- Coordinate and manage various groups within the service area for seamless operations.
- Contribute to major strategic projects aligned with organisational and county plan goals.
- Uphold professional standards, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Drive the transformation of our service into a data-led operation using cutting-edge technology.
Candidate Specification:
- Degree level education or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in leading highways maintenance and network management services.
- In-depth knowledge of the Highway Asset Management process and relevant legislation.
- Proven track record in project management and bid formulation for funding bodies.
- Experience in developing, updating a Highway Asset Management plan.
- Proven experience in leading highways maintenance operations, strategic planning, and policy formulation.
- Strong leadership and management skills with an inclusive and collaborative approach.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse data and shape strategy accordingly.
- Empathy and understanding of the impact of behavior on others.
