We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated History Teacher to join a client school in Grantham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering a love for the subject and encouraging critical thinking.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive History curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career goals, contributing to their overall development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in History or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 History curriculum.
- Proven track record of successful teaching experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to fostering student success.
- Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
