The Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join this dedicated team, primarily working within our Year 4 class. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers, enhancing the educational experiences of our students, and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Year 4 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Plan and deliver tailored learning activities for individuals or small groups of Year 4 students.
- Assist in assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the Year 4 teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Supervise and support students during classroom activities and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a HLTA or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and the specific needs of this age group.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
- Experience working in a diverse, urban school environment is desirable.
