Job description

An established family run Holiday Park group in North Yorkshire are seeking a General Management couple to take the lead in overseeing all aspects of park operations and play a key role in future development, including sales, hire fleet, and park maintenance.
They have been operating for over 60 years, and are committed to making this lovely part of North Yorkshire an even greater attraction for second home owners and holidaymakers.
Park Details:

  • Over 200 plots across 27.5 acres
  • 166 pitches for holiday caravans
  • Luxury lodges in a gated development
  • Next door to the sister operation
  • On-site coffee shop offering daytime food and beverage service
  • Marketing and Maintenance support teams
Future Development Plans:
  • Increased caravan sales
  • Diverse accommodation types, including lodges, glamping, pods, touring, and camping
  • Improved food and beverage facilities
  • Potential expansion onto adjoining land
  • Enhanced indoor and outdoor amenities
The Successful Candidates Will Be:
  • Effective managers with excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop the team
  • Instrumental in driving business performance and creating innovative site-based strategies

  • Experienced in delivering consistently high operational standards
  • Responsible for executing the business s strategic plan
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
  • Overall HR responsibility for park team members
  • Develop current staff and introduce a management structure
  • Lead the team to deliver company objectives
  • Develop team training and coaching programs
Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day operations
  • Maintain and develop high standards across all areas
  • Ensure effective teamwork and collaboration
  • Facilitate the development of on-site activities
Commercial Delivery:
  • Overall budget responsibility
  • Provide monthly reports to the Board of Directors
  • Achieve business growth objectives
Guest Experience:
  • Maintain high standards of guest experience
  • Oversee team training and process improvements
  • Develop added value experiences and activities
Experience:
  • Sales and Marketing expertise
  • Knowledge of Holiday Parks or similar tourism services
  • Hands-on experience in managing hospitality, leisure, or tourism businesses
  • Practical understanding of Holiday Park maintenance and infrastructure
  • Strong operational experience across diverse activities
  • Business acumen with proven ability to meet sales targets
  • Leadership experience in a senior management role (5+ years)
  • Self-starter with a history of resolving business challenges
Package: This is an outstanding opportunity for the right couple to take the lead in this business at a senior level. The candidates will benefit from a basic salary of GBP30,000 each plus bonus and commission (on sales), 2 bed on-site accommodation (Tingdene) with just utilities and council tax to pay, and a tailored induction program.
