Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Home Manager to lead our team in our new home based in Swindon, North Wiltshire. As the Home Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents in accordance with their individual needs. This position requires a dynamic individual with proven general management experience in a similar residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the home.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding, personalized care to residents.
- Uphold compliance with relevant legislation and care standards through continuous monitoring and practical support.
Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial aspects of the home, managing budgets effectively.
- Implement cost-effective measures while maintaining high-quality care standards.
Team Leadership:
- Inspire and lead a dedicated staff team to achieve excellence in care provision.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to ensure a positive working environment.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the home meets and exceeds Fundamental Standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ/RMA/Diploma minimum level 5).
- Previous General Management experience within a residential environment of a similar size.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including robust IT skills.
- Good knowledge of Fundamental Standards and principles of Person-Centered Care.
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and manage a team of staff.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and up-to-date knowledge and skills.
- Experience in providing care to residents with Dementia-related illnesses.
- Good level of commercial knowledge.
