Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Home Tutor to join our team in Bradford. This part-time position requires availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a competitive daily pay rate ranging from £130 to £211. As a Home Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored academic support to a student who has been out of education for an extended period and presents with high levels of anger and anxiety.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Proficiency in tutoring Maths and English subjects.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting learners facing challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans tailored to the student's individual needs.
- Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions focused on Maths and English subjects.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment to build the student's confidence and resilience.
- Utilise creative teaching strategies to accommodate the student's learning style and preferences.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the student and their family/guardian.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the student's education to ensure holistic support.
