SalaryHorticultural Field Trials Officer required for permanent position with market leading garden care company. Working in the heart of the countryside as part of a small team, the successful candidate will be designing, implementing, analysing and reporting on field and glasshouse trials to the required standards and will ensure that the agreed research program is achieved on time and within budget. They will propose the best experimental methods to test products, discuss detailed protocols and contribute to product innovation.
Applicants must:
• Have some previous experience of conducting trials on pesticides/herbicides/fungicides for plant protection registration.
• Be proficient in experimental design, statistics and report writing
• Have good practical horticultural skills and PA1/PA6
• Be able to identify pest, disease, weed and nutritional disorders.
• Be organised, methodical, able to work on own initiative with good written and verbal communication skills.
