Job Title:Hospital Specialty Training Executive Officer
Salary: Band 4, £12.28 per hour
Location: Belfast
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 8.30am – 4.30pm on Friday
Duration: Up to 6 months
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide support to the Hospital Specialty Training Department as required.
- Ensure that structures and processes are in place to enable regulatory standards to be demonstrated for medical training programmes and junior doctors.
- To book venues, speakers, and equipment for events in line with NIMDTA policies for example obtaining appropriate quotes to ensure value for money.
- Coordinate the travel arrangements for Lead Educators and all external visitors to the Deanery in line with policies and guidance.
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders e.g. HSC Trust HR and Postgraduate Medical Education Departments, Lead Educators, Educational Supervisors, Clinical Supervisors, National Recruitment Offices.
- To identify risks within the department and highlight these to the Hospital Specialty Training Manager and Director of Hospital Specialty Training.
- To participate in quality improvement activities within the department.
- To ensure that all department information is stored and destroyed in accordance with NIMDTA’s Record Management & Disposal Policy.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) or equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy, and 2 A Levels or equivalent
OR
higher qualification
AND
18 months’ relevant experience*
OR
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience*
* Relevant experience is defined as working in an office environment carrying out administrative duties such as preparing letters/correspondence, maintaining systems/databases, communicating with stakeholders.
Experience in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
