Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective for this role is to identify, nurture and acquire new Matchday Hospitality opportunities to drive growth and profitability within Hospitality Sales. The role is responsible for achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets through effective sales and marketing initiatives to optimise revenues and maximise profits. The role is focused around finding and engaging with both local and businesses across the south west to build a new business pipeline for all Hospitality Sales including seasonal box, seasonal restaurant, VIP matchday packages along with match sponsorship and other general matchday sales opportunities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for account managing any new confirmed business.
This role will require someone who is dedicated and passionate about sales ideally with previous proactive outbound sales experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales of all products and services through the full hospitality inventory portfolio locally and across the south west
- Identify new business opportunities to drive revenue into the Hospitality Sales pipeline
- Attend regular networking events to research and connect with prospective clients
- Account management and development of any current business hospitality clients signed
- Ensure all confirmed bookings have paid within the agreed timeframe
- Weekly client feedback calls to all match to match guests from previous fixtures
- Responsible and accountable for achieving sales targets, team and/or individual as set by the Head of Hospitality Sales
- Maintain an up to date record of all pipeline accounts providing a weekly report of generated sales
- Driving all aspects of the sales process from generating leads to execution of the contract.
- Handling of inbound email and telephone enquiries, following up with a focus on converson
- Requriement to be present at matchdays to meet and entertain clients
- To achieve and where possible exceed sales targets
- Contacting prospective clients through a variety of mediums including linked in, phoning, emailing or meeting in person
- To have an excellent understanding of all available products
- To fully understand the Lansdown Business Membership proposition and to articulate this to all potential clients
- Work closely and collaberate with the Hospitality Sales team
- Identify any potential growth accounts and where appropriate work closely with the Partnership Sales team to explore partnership opportunities
