Castle Employment Group are working in partnership with a Scarborough based hotel looking to bring in a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the delivery of service across the venue over breakfast, lunch & dinner.

n

Working 5 days per week including evenings, weekends & bank holidays you would be earning up to £30,000 plus any service charge that is distributed.

n

The right chef for this role would be passionate, experienced within a hotel setting and focused on helping the business develop their food offering in the restaurant. The hotel mainly caterers for residents but are open to the public on a Sunday offering a really high-quality experience. You would ideally need transport due to the location of the hotel and there is no accommodation provided.

Role:

• Prepare food using fresh ingredients.
n
• Be under the guidance of the Head Chef
n
• Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Requirements
n
• Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen department.
n
• Run the kitchen and support the GM in the absence of the Head Chef
n
• Attend meetings as requested by management.
n
• Be actively involved in the management of stock.
n
• To train & supervisor junior team members
n

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH
n
• Experienced in a hotel setting at Sous Chef level
n
• Relevant Catering Qualifications including NVQ & Food Safety
n
• Good levels of communication and spoken English
n
