Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Hourly Paid Cookery Tutor to join our Foundation Learning Team. Applicants will be required to teach the cookery units of our Foundation Learning programme, the class will initially be on Monday (all day) and Thursday (afternoons) with the possibility of expanding the position to work within the Community Learning or Adults with Learning Difficulties areas. There will be the chance to design and develop a creative programme which will engage and retain our learners, most of whom have additional or learning needs. Whilst experience of teaching Cookery is desirable, consideration would be given to a gifted enthusiast with the relevant skills. You will have excellent communication and positive ‘can do’ attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team and independently. You will be an excellent administrator – well organised and able to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent communication skills as it is important to have regular contact and half-termly meetings with the rest of the Community Learning Team.
