A bit about Law at the Salford Business School… Law at Salford Business School is proud of its reputation as a provider of academically rigorous legal education with a distinctive employability agenda. The subject group has a vibrant, friendly, supportive and engaged staff base with a shared vision for excellence and a “learning by doing” approach to teaching and learning, while being proactive in responding to changes in the nature of legal education. We are currently shaping our offering to respond to changes in the legal training landscape and which wholly embraces Law Tech, focusing strongly on how automation will impact the provision of legal services in the future. Law at Salford Business School has a dedicated pro  bono offering, SILKS (Salford Information and Legal Knowledge Scheme), home to Salford Law Clinic  and other pro bono opportunities for our students and we are looking to expand these community outreach activities. At Salford Business School we strive to foster the development of an inclusive community, using teaching approaches which encourage inclusivity, working in partnership with students to improve their sense of belonging, diversifying the curriculum and using approaches to inclusive assessment to close the award gap. To help us build that exciting future for the School we are seeking suitably qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Hourly Paid Academics (Hourly Paid flexible working arrangements) to teach on campus as part of our module teams and/or supervise postgraduate dissertations and projects. What will the role involve? We are particularly seeking staff with a postgraduate qualification in a discipline related to Law, excellent communication skills, high standards of professionalism and a positive collegiate mind set, who have previous experience of teaching and/or supporting undergraduate (Levels 4-6) and/or postgraduate students.
