Form of workThe School of Sport and Travel are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our successful team on a fixed term basis until June 2024. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about making a difference to the lives and careers of our learners. Teaching experience within the Tourism sector is desirable, although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills. You will be teaching across a range of Aviation/Travel programmes with units which could include Aircraft Baggage, Aircraft Dispatch, European Destinations, Aviation Geography, UK Travel, Visitor attraction, Travel destination & Development of Travel and tourism. The right candidate will be capable of developing a wide range of learning materials which engage and stimulate students, to reach higher potential/progression to Higher Education programmes. The successful could be required to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate level 1 and level 2 programmes. You should have a good level of industry experience that can be shared within the classroom environment. You will join a vibrant and high-performing team, working in our well-equipped facilities at our Watford campus and should be equally comfortable teaching practical and theory sessions. The team and our students already benefit from excellent links with local employers, but any opportunity to further these links is always welcomed. The successful candidate must be confident that they can contribute to and improve our team and will be working approximately up to 8 hours per week with the opportunity to become full time in August 2024. You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching. The closing date for applications is Monday 4th March 2024.
