We are looking for a diligent Housekeeper to join our enthusiastic team. The role's main purpose is to provide a high-quality cleaning service for our residents. If you’re passionate about helping others and providing a comfortable environment for people to live in, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
What to expect
As a member of the Nouvita team, you will be making a positive, and noticeable difference to the lives of our service users. The role of a housekeeper is integral to creating a better, cleaner and more comfortable life for those in our care; tasks as simple as changing bedding, though small, create a foundation for routine and mental wellbeing.
In your new role, you’ll be expected to carry out your jobs professionally and in compliance with company policy – some of your responsibilities include:
- Using correct cleaning equipment, materials and machinery as directed.
- Follow detailed instruction when handling chemicals.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment.
- Ensuring security of all materials by use of locks and diligence when storing.
- Using initiative when seeing something that isn’t to your/Nouvita standards and correcting it.
- Maintaining professional appearance, at all times, while wearing appropriate footwear for the job.
- Maintaining professionalism when interacting with service users.
Though this list of responsibilities isn’t exhaustive, anything you’re unsure of can be discussed with either the home manager or your head of department.

Training
We’re proud to say we provide our own, in-house, training programme for those working in the care sector. Though your role isn’t as a hands-on care professional, we believe anyone working with us should have the training to feel confident and knowledgeable in our homes/hospitals, as such, some courses (paid for by us) will be made available to you.

About Us
The main red-brick building is divided into two specialist units, with a separate house attached to the main building. This allows us to offer three separate services at Eltisley Manor – The Limes, The Orchard and The Coach House.
At The Limes, we provide 24-hour specialist care for those aged 50+ whose advancing years may exclude them from many psychiatric services, but their enduring mental illness excludes them from a ‘regular’ or mainstream nursing home setting. Coupled with this, often the residents here suffer from physical disabilities, as well as mental illness, so as The Limes is on the ground floor, with our clinical team, we are also able to provide this type of care.
Separately, at The Orchard, we provide 24-hour nursing care for male and females from 18+ with complex mental health issues, supporting them to return to independent living – the pathway is continued through to our Coach House, a smaller living space for four individuals nearing the end of their rehabilitation. This facility provides a stepping stone to the community for service users in the final stages of working towards supported or independent living in the community.
With residents’ quality of life at our core, our primary focus is to avoid institutionalisation by encouraging those individuals we care for to live the most full and independent life they can. Naturally this comes with a commitment to provide the very best care to our residents.
