Job objectives and responsibilities
-Carryout Housekeeping duties to deliver the cleaning contract at a high profile nuclear licensed site
-security clearance is a MUST, DV clearance must be applied for and to be successful in this role S/C clearance must be obtained
-Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.
-To undertake successfully all training required to deliver the Housekeeping role at AWE
-Individuals will be required to work within a team or have the ability to work under their own initiative.
-Adhere to all Mitie/AWE Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
Main duties
- To maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
-Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard
- To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order, i.e. PAT Tested, etc.
-To have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
-To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie at AWE and to attend all necessary training to fulfil this requirement.
-To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislations and AWE policies
-To be aware of material expenditure and avoid unnecessary waste and to report any maintenance defects to the Cleaning Supervisor.
-To understand and observe Mitie and AWE site rules at all times.
-To observe all Company and Client statutory fire and safety regulations and to promote good safety habits and methods of work, and towork in a safe and diligent manner
-Report any complaints Houskeeping Supervisor.
-To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business and as directed by the Line Manager.
-Fully participate in all Mitie/AWE training required to deliver the contact at AWE
-Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations
-Flexible approach for ad hoc tasks, and to assist colleagues and other teams as and when required.
-Ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained and to give particular attention to hands/finger nails, hair care and general appearance. Shoes must be fully covered with tread and appropriate for the requirements of the role.
Person Specification
· This post has a 9 day fortnight rota, Mon - Fri week 1 & Mon - Thurs week 2
-Partime Shift: 09:30 - 14:30 - 5 hrs per day
-Be self-driven and determined
-Successfully complete Housekeeping competencies every 120 days and ensure continued compliance
-Maintain any records as requested by manager/Mitie procedure: Cleaning check sheets and machinery check sheetsFollow all AWE security procedures
Health and Safety responsibilities
-Always Follow Group and company policies and procedures;
-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
-Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
-Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
Information Security
-Ensure compliance withall AWE and Mitie's security procedures in all activities;
-Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager andReport actual, suspected security incidents.
