Job Summary
Total Staff, on behalf of our esteemed student accommodation client in Bristol, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the facility, including weekly kitchen inspections and full cleans. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all rooms and kitchens meet our high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning tasks in student rooms, communal areas, and kitchens according to a set schedule and standards.
- Weekly Inspections: Conduct thorough weekly inspections of kitchens, ensuring they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Full Kitchen Cleans: Execute comprehensive cleaning of kitchens, including appliances, surfaces, and storage areas.
- Room Cleaning Targets: Achieve daily cleaning targets for rooms and kitchens to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste and recyclables, ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the management team promptly.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, maintaining an organized storage area.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Customer Service: Interact with students and staff in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any cleaning-related concerns.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good time management, and organizational skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules or routines as needed.
- Communication: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
