The role of Housekeeper…

Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As the Nursery Housekeeper, you'll be more than a housekeeper; you'll be an ambassador for our values, and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture.

We set the bar high, aiming for nothing less than greatness, and your role will be instrumental in achieving that. Get ready to immerse yourself in ensuring that the nursery is presented to a high standard. You’ll be proud of maintaining cleanliness and complying with Health & Safety, Environmental Health and COSHH regulations.

Day-to-day you’ll ensure everything is in its rightful place, fresh and clean, ready to amplify the children’s learning journeys. Cleanliness and hygiene will be at the forefront of your approach, ensuring clean surfaces, items, floors and laundry is done. Tidiness is also key, ensuring bins are emptied and belongings are organised.

It’s not just deep within the nursery; the front-of-house area is where we make the first impression. To ensure it’s inviting and welcoming for all, you’ll arrange fresh flowers, stow away shoes, tidy leaflets and tables, and hang up coats. Your efforts will be paramount to a space where children can flourish, parents find comfort and the whole team excel. You’ll play a key role in creating an environment that reflects our commitment to excellence in early years.

We take pride in creating a nurturing environment that caters to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history. With great attention to detail, you'll ensure our nursery remains a sanctuary where every child can flourish and grow.

What we’re looking for

For the Housekeeper role, there are no specific qualifications needed. A friendly and efficient approach comes first and an interest in working around children. If the skills mentioned in the job description above suit you, we invite you to apply today.

About Kido Fulham

Kido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We are international in India, USA and the UK, running 13 (soon to be 14!) Ofsted rated Good and Outstanding nurseries in and around London. We blend the best practices from the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches. This magical fusion, combined with state-of-the-art learning spaces and 21st-century technology, brings a whole new level of wonder to early years education at Kido.

Our Fulham nursery opened in September 2022 and boasts not one but two gardens immersing children in nature as they explore and learn. Each nursery level caters to every ages unique needs. Just a stroll away is Normand Park where the children develop a love for nature. Our diverse and nurturing team mirrors the rich backgrounds of the children, forming a close-knit nursery community. As one proud parent recently shared, “The staff are well-trained and kind and give focused attention to each child and their needs. They take the time to make the children feel included and safe. We see this manifested in how much our daughter enjoys going to the nursery and in her positive and enthusiastic interactions with staff members.

The nursery is international with a global perspective and celebrates diversity…We love the weekly themes, which staff use to create exciting activities and sensory play.”
