Housekeeper & Gardener
Young, friendly family of five looking for a live-in housekeeper/nanny/gardener on a job share basis to join their country property in Hampshire (Basingstoke 5 miles / Reading 10 miles).
This role, which is highly suited to a couple looking for a live-in opportunity within a family setting will enjoy household, childcare and garden duties and be responsible for all aspects of running and maintaining the home.
Household duties include laundry, ironing and all deep cleaning, managing weekly/monthly cleaning tasks, tidying, basic cooking and additional household errands. Childcare duties will include school runs, assisting with bath/bed time when required, occasional babysitting and supporting the stay at home mother. You will be comfortable taking sole charge of children as and when required and on occasions where both parents are away.
The ability to work with flexibility and autonomy is key as the role varies week to week according to the family and children’s commitments. We’re looking for someone who is kind, dedicated, reliable and enjoys being part of a fun busy family.
This position also includes tending to the outside areas to include mowing, weeding, planting, cutting hedges, pool maintenance, driving when required, and maintenance tasks around the house.
This role is on a job share basis with the allocation of tasks, and hours of work to be discussed during interview.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
Valid driver’s licence
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
Experience working in a similar role- First Aid and CPR
- DBS checked
- Horticulture qualifications (not essential)
Hours of Work
5 days a week - exact hours to be discussed- To include weekend working
