About the role

Southfields Care home provides exceptional levels of support to adults with Dementia, Physical disabilities or /and Sensory impairments.

Situated in a residential suburb in Northampton, offering a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Our team of 40 provide the highest level of care to 33 residents. 

Our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.

What will you be doing?

As Housekeeper in our team, you’ll carry out a range of duties such as cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks in both communal and resident private rooms/areas of the home. Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are based on respect and equality.  Support, assist other staff members in promoting a cheerful, pleasant and homelike environment whilst demonstrating a friendly attitude towards residents.

  • Maintain all areas in the home to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene.
  • Including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, moping, furnishing, crockery, cutlery, kitchen appliances, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, windows and refuse disposal areas.
  • Laundry care. 

Experience would be ideal, but training will be given. 

32.5 hours per week:  

Week 1: 7.30am - 2.30pm 

Week 2 : 9am-4pm To include alternate weekends. 

 

About you

You’ll have high standards and will ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and with great attention to detail.

A basic knowledge of health, safety and hygiene knowledge is required for this role, and previous experience within a cleaning or housekeeping job is desirable but not essential.

As we offer full hands-on training with relevant certifications, you don't have to have experience. BUT you do need to have the want and will to make individuals feel seen and cared for.

At minimum we offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddy scheme" too. We will settle you in, gradually.

A DBS check will take place, at WNC cost.
