Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

As a Housekeeper at The Albion Hotel, Freshwater, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the hotel. You will play a key role in ensuring the very best in standards throughout our hotel paying particular attention to our Guest rooms. Join The Albion Hotel and be part of something greater. Role Responsibility

•         Meticulous attention to detail

•         Strip and clean beds and collect linen 

•         Clean desks, ceilings and vents, walls, blinds, and other surfaces to create a beautiful, safe environment.

•         Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, polish floors, and replenish supplies 

•         Emptying bins and waste containers 

•         Actively champion a safe and healthy environment our guests and visitors, and staff

Package Description

·         20 – 40 Hours per week

·         Any 5 days out of 7 - 7:00-23:30

·         Shifts are as necessary to support with business requirements 

·         Full uniform supplied

·         Full training provided

·         Annual leave April - March 28 days per calendar year which increases with service

Qualifications Required

·         Ideally 5 GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualification) in English and maths.

Apprenticeship Standard

·         Hospitality Team Member (Housekeeping Pathway) Standard Level 2

·         Apprenticeship duration will be 12 months + 3 months for End Point Assessment

• Functional Skills - if not already achieved a GCSE C (or above) in maths and English (or equivalent qualification) 
• There is a requirement to complete off job training, College attendance will contribute but time spent either learning something new, other courses or any support work you that is not your usual role will also be counted

Working Week

·         30 hours a week this will vary dependant on the time of year and will include Weekends

·         One day per week to be spent at the college

Wage

·         £192 per week based on 30 hours

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
