​Contract: Seasonal  (1 March – 31 October)

​Hours per week: 37.50 Hours

​Accommodation: Live in Accommodation if required (monthly utility charge only)

Hartfield House Hostel is situated in Applecross, at the foot of the Bealach na Ba, surrounded by mountains and framed by the crystal clear waters of the Inner Sound.

Whilst your day job will be busy, and you will meet all kinds of interesting people, outside of work you can truly get away from it all. And if you enjoy outdoor activities, there is everything from mountain biking and road cycling to wild swimming, climbing and trail running available from the doorstep.

​We are recruiting for housekeeping staff to join our friendly team at Hartfield. We are a 4* hostel and Bunkhouse and together offer 50 beds.

​You will ideally be experienced in housekeeping/cleaning, and work well solo and as part of a team. 

About the role:

​We are seeking a reliable and hard-working person to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within our 50 bed hostel in Applecross, north west Highlands.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Make beds and change linens
- Restock supplies in rooms and common areas
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills:
- Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience in hospitality establishment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning standards
- Computer literate
- Great customer service skills and experience
- Friendly and personable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Housekeeping shifts are 8.30-2pm but hours may vary.

The role is around 35-40 hours per week.

The role is to start early June until end of September, or possibly longer. Students welcome.
