An independent holiday-letting agent in the Poole & Bournemouth area is seeking a Service Team Manager to lead a team of 35 cleaners. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation in 150 four and five-star holiday homes. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and possess a positive, can-do attitude, with strong skills in computer scheduling software and Excel.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Rota management in a busy and dynamic environment, adapting to last-minute bookings and cancellations.
- Predominantly office-based tasks with regular visits to properties to ensure standards are met.
- Overseeing the cleaning team, handling issues, and ensuring high-quality service.
- Coaching, recruitment, training, and performance management of the service team.
- Managing disciplinary matters, empowering staff, and building strong team relationships.
- Efficient time management and professional, friendly client and colleague interactions.
- Seasonal recruitment and monitoring of staff performance.
- Managing client expectations and resolving any issues that arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to remain organised and unflappable under pressure.
- Firm understanding of computer scheduling software and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong team leadership and motivational skills.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Efficient time management and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

The role requires working 5 days a week, including Saturdays, with a day off during the week in lieu. Working hours are from 9:15 am to 6:00 pm.
