Housekeeping Supervisor – Chorleywood, Hertfordshire
Location: Burford House Care Home, Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ
Salary: £25, 000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 9:00am to 5:00pm, 5 shifts a week across Monday to Sunday

We are looking for a compassionate and caring Housekeeping Supervisor to join our family at Burford House Care Home.

About the role:
- Preparing rotas and arranging/agreeing annual leave for the domestic and laundry team
- Supervising and allocating areas of work for domestic and laundry staff including inductions
- Managing housekeeping inventories and ordering of cleaning and laundry materials/chemicals
- Ensure that all company operational standards are met in line with quality, cleanliness, infection control, health and safety and business needs
- Ensure that all public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times
- Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported immediately and followed up as required so that all areas are well maintained and fault free at all times
- Respond to our residents and their families if they raise issues or concerns to you in relation to cleanliness or housekeeping services
- Take ownership of housekeeping at Burford House, effectively managing a team to ensure that high standards are maintained at all times
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and stored properly
- Audit cleaning standards throughout the home and ensure that any identified improvements are made in a timely manner.
- Ensure that residents are supported to retain their dignity and individuality
- Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors to the home
About you:
- The right to live and work in the UK
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead a team, with a caring nature and positive attitude
- An understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control and COSHH
- Housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry skills, including the safe use of equipment provided
- Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential
