Encompass delivers a wide range of services including homelessness support and adult social care.
This post is based in the Housing Advice, Information and Assessment Service, and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of an efficient, high quality and responsive advice and assessment service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
In this job role you will:
- Lead and manage an effective and responsive service
- Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of legislation
- Oversee legal challenge against statutory decisions
- Review and improve working practices
- Develop and maintain close and effective multi-agency partnerships
We are looking for someone who has:
- A proven track record in advice and assessment in homelessness
- In-depth knowledge of Housing Legislation
- Experience of managing and leading a housing team
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to forward plan and consider workable solutions
- A demonstrable customer-focused approach
What we offer:
- Performance Related Pay (PRP) – up to 10% of salary
- 6.5% employers’ pension contribution
