Housing Assessment Support Officer – The Role:
Braintree District Council are currently seeking to recruit a Housing Assessment Support Officer to join our busy Housing Assessment Team.
Housing Assessment Support Officer – Key Responsibilities:
- The role involves maintaining the Housing Register for the district through the Gateway to Homechoice website
- Assessing housing applications
- Dealing with changes of circumstances
- Advertising empty properties for social landlords and shortlisting for some landlords
Housing Assessment Support Officer – You:
- Applicants should have excellent communication skills as they will be constantly dealing with customers, colleagues and staff from partner organisations
- The service uses a complex IT system and the successful applicant will need to have a good working knowledge of IT
- This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active in their approach to join our team
- A knowledge of housing issues and previous experience of working in a housing-related role would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided
