Derbyshire Dales District Council has a successful track record in enabling new affordable homes across the district. The post holder of this exciting new position will support the Housing Enabling and development function, with particular emphasis on finding and bringing forward suitable traveller sites. The council has an identified need for 2 permanent sites and 1 temporary site.
Based within the Housing team you will work alongside colleagues delivering estate regeneration, enabling new affordable homes, developing new council housing, and providing homelessness services, housing advice and support. You will be part of an award winning and dedicated team, working corporately with colleagues across the Council. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in enabling and development over a minimum period of 2 years. Previous experience of working in the provision of traveller sites would be a distinct advantage but is not essential. This is a real opportunity for the right person to utilise their skills and make a real difference.
