Plus brilliant benefits!
Delivering support with a difference. That’s when it hits home.
We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our brand-new extra care Community Wellbeing scheme, The Sycamores in the beautiful area of Woodlesford, Leeds. Opening in April 2024, we’ll be supporting older people aged 55+ with varying care and support needs to live independently in their own home with peace of mind. We’ll be offering high quality living in our 62 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assistive technology, 24/7 on site wellbeing and care provision, café, hair/beauty salon, cosy communal lounges with IT area, activity room and picturesque landscaped gardens. It will be a real hub within the local community. Brilliant isn’t it!
Based from our fantastic new building on Holmsley Lane, we are just minutes M1 and very close to good public transport links, with bus stops on the doorstep and nearby train station!
Your role
You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru at The Sycamores, focussing on tenancy support and providing a Housing Management service to our customers. You’ll support them to effectively manage their tenancy and rent accounts including housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces in the scheme quickly so that new customers who need our help can move in, making sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!
Start date in the role is 26th February 2024.
About our team
We’re recruiting a brilliant new team, so you’re going to be part of a fabulous new Home Group family. You’ll be reporting to Emma Carter, our Community Wellbeing Manager, working closely alongside our housing team and the Registered Manager and their Care team too.
About you
You’ll be able to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You’ll be experienced in providing tenancy and housing support in many different ways including, effectively managing voids, inspecting properties on a daily basis to identify maintenance issues and carrying out health and safety checks. Undertaking referral assessments of customers, you’ll be confident in enforcing tenancy conditions and collecting rent and service charges too. You’ll be committed to ensuring our properties are maintained up to hotel standards and are ready for occupancy so that people who need our help to change their lives can move in quickly.
You’ll work alongside our Lead Reablement Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers too as well as assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans.
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for this, if you don’t have a transferrable one already.
Working hours
We’ll be providing 24-hour support to our customers, however working hours for this role will usually be between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. We need you to be flexible to meet their needs, but in return we’ll give you the time you need to do the things that matter to you!
