What will the role look like?
Housing Navigators work in an outreach capacity supporting people who are or have been homeless and have a history of rough sleeping. They work intensively with small caseloads, taking a person-centered approach to build a relationship. Each person is supported to improve their personal and social skills, helping them to build their resilience and enabling them to sustain their tenancy in order to prevent repeat homelessness.
The role involves working with individuals who have a history of convictions for various offences, who are at a high risk of becoming homeless and reoffending, may be reluctant to engage in services and may present with challenging behaviours.
Navigators will try to engage and work intensively with people to support them to access temporary accommodation and move away from street based lifestyles to more safe and secure environments.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience of working with people at risk of becoming homeless and/or reoffending.
We are looking for someone who can build rapport with people with varying complex needs whilst being able to share knowledge and expertise with clients.
