Housing Policy Advisor

Reed Public Sector is actively recruiting for an interim Housing Policy Advisor/ Manager for a local Authority in Berkshire. 
Contracts length : 6 months with a possibility of getting extended.
Day Rate: £400 - £500 per day depending on experience - Inside IR35
Hybrid Working
Job Purpose:
To engage a social Housing Policy specialist to review and update the key policies of its Housing Service to ensure that they comply with relevant legislation, reflect best practice and support the efficient delivery of the service to tenants and customers.
The person specification will require management experience and excellent subject matter knowledge of policy development, housing maintenance and repairs.
The deliverables needed will comprise a policy library, developed in cooperation with housing managers, including the following documents which must align with operational delivery and procedure:

• Responsive repairs policy
• External decorations policy
• Recharge policy
• Leaseholders major works policy
• Voids policy Out-sourcing policy (reactive repairs)
