The role of a Housing Repairs Advisor a competitive pay rate of £15.39ph per hour, increasing in line with Harrow Council Pay Scale increments. Other benefits include, accruing up to 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.The Main Purpose of a Housing Repairs Advisor:

• To provide customers with information and advice relating to the services offered in the Council and specifically management within Access Harrow across all customers facing channels (face to face, telephone, email/Web/Social Media).
• To proactively seek information that will provide accurate resolution to customer/resident queries at first point of contact by using relevant training materials provided or alternative sources i.e. the website or contacting the relevant departments /officers/team colleagues.
• To take secure debit/credit card payments for services received as required using Pay.net.
• To refer customers onto other Access Harrow teams (e.g. council tax & Benefits, Adults, etc) who require other Council services.
• To accurately capture comments, compliments, and complaints, identifying the type of communication and matching it to the relevant service
• To accurately log all customer contacts on to the relevant systems (8x8 CRM, MVM, Northgate, Civica etc)

About you, the successful Housing Repairs Advisor will have:

• Must be able to search information systems and competently use taught knowledge to provide information, advice and guidance to resolve requests.
• Highly computer literate and ability to adapt and learn PC skills quickly.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels actively listens and responds to the customer as appropriate: good written communication skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate the capability to work within a team: committed team player but can also use their own initiative to resolve matters and task.
