Housing Solution and Support Case Worker
Grade 3 - £25,119 - £31,364 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Are you looking to make a positive difference to people lives by providing early support and tailored guidance to help to prevent homelessness?
This role's key function is to interview and assess customers who approach the City Council who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will conduct thorough assessments and investigations, use your experience to provide expert housing advice and solutions, make referrals to other LAs and support agencies, deliver high quality case management; and make informed homeless decisions within statutory targets.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people who may be very stressed and anxious and remain calm to understand their issues and provide advice within a legal framework. You will also use an IT system to update with case information and customer interactions.
The successful candidate will be required to be flexible in their working approach, travelling to different locations such as New Aston House, Homelessness Hubs and city centre offices.

All about you:
- Experience of working within social housing / homelessness is desirable
- Training can be given for candidates who have experience in another relatable social or person facing field.
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Confident using I.T systems and databases
