GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Housing Solutions Officer to our public sector client based in Redditch. The Housing Solutions Officer will assess and case work homeless applications and offer housing advice to applicants.
Main Duties of the Housing Solutions Officer:

• Provide Duty cover both face to face and by telephone
• Assess and case working homeless applications, working under homelessness legislation (Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
• Attend meetings where requested
• Provide sound housing advice to applicants
• Keeping up to date with statutory and case law changes; and staying abreast of local and national issues relating to homelessness

Role Requirements:

• Confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996.
• Previous experience offering housing advice to service users
• Flexibility in order to meet conflicting demands
