Working across North Northamptonshire, this role, funded by the Government’s Supplementary Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery (SSMTR) Housing Support Grant, will help to deliver against the Government’s aim of increasing the number of people recovering from addiction who are in stable and secure housing.
We are therefore looking to recruit a dedicated and motivated individual to provide a seamless Tenancy Support service to those in treatment who have a housing related need.
Please note based on external funding this post is fixed term until the 31st March 2025.
What will you be doing?
Working closely with the Housing Options Team and partner agencies, you will deliver person centred, non-prescriptive support to households throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
You will be providing housing advice, guidance, and housing related support to ensure that individuals are able to successfully maintain their accommodation or find alternative suitable accommodation as required. Ultimately your intervention will help to improve recovery outcomes and avoid homelessness.
You will also effectively liaise with a range of colleagues, partners, and other agencies to ensure appropriate specialist support is accessed to meet their individual needs.
About you
You will have experience of working in a support role, including assessment, support planning and advocacy and an ability to work with vulnerable people.
Working effectively as part of a team and with the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and service users, you will be able to work well under your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
To succeed in the role, you must be focussed on achieving positive outcomes, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills in supporting people.
