Housing Support Worker (Floating) - Extra Care

£24,055.17 per annum / £12.46 per hour (£12,027.58 for 18.5hrs)

Based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire - covering our sites in Northallerton, Leyburn and Brompton

Part Time - 18.5 hours per week (hours to be agreed with suitable candidate)?

Our client has a fantastic opportunity to join their friendly and supportive Extra Care team as a Support Worker.

This is a floating support role, a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for the role.

You will be based at their scheme in Stokesley and will assist the Scheme Manager to deliver support services to vulnerable people within their schemes in Northallerton, Leyburn and Brompton.

The Role?

You will assist the Scheme Manager to deliver support services to vulnerable older people within their Extra Care and Sheltered schemes across North Yorkshire.

You will assist with the co-ordination of services delivered within the scheme and will engage in community development to ensure social inclusion for the residents.

You will assist in the delivery of excellent customer focused services.

You will welcome new residents to their accommodation and help them to settle into the scheme and make friendships. Developing and maintaining open and honest relationships with their residents, you will encourage them to participate and contribute to decision-making.???

Additionally, you will provide information to, and develop life skills for, residents to enhance their independence and quality of life, including health promotion. Participation in the development and implementation of a range of person centred social and learning activities for residents will also be a key part of the role.??

  • Experience in a similar role??

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills???

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.???

  • The ability to problem solve and make sound judgements.???

  • The ability to organise and prioritise a demanding workload???

  • Intermediate skills in I.T. software including Word and Excel??

  • A full Driving Licence and access to a car for business purposes
