Axis Supported Living is a Non-Profit Supported Housing Organisation that provides tenancy related services to socially excluded, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals who are subject to National Probation Service supervision and have experienced a period in custody.
Based in Armley, we provide temporary access to single occupancy, private rented accommodation across Leeds. Our Support is aimed at assisting our Service Users to set up, manage and maintain their tenancy whilst sourcing and overcoming barriers to securing permanent move on accommodation.
You will assist Service Users to address their individual needs by:
- assisting in the preparation of Axis properties for re-letting when vacant
- assisting Service Users on move in day
- completing start up paperwork
- carrying out scheduled home visits on a case load basis
- Carrying out regular property checks, investigating and reporting any issues
- preparing individual Support Plans, goal setting and follow up work
- advising and assisting with the Bidding process for LA properties or accessing Private rent options
- implementing all Risk Management and appropriate Safeguarding Policies to work practices
- maintaining required standard of record keeping and exchange of information appropriately
We are looking for someone who has enthusiasm for supporting individuals who have been subject to the Criminal Justice System and a commitment to empowering our Service Users to become independent, positive members of the community and can:
- plan and organise their time efficiently and implement their work effectively
- problem solve in a constructive and flexible way
- has good communication, literacy, numeracy, IT and computer skills
- has awareness of the diverse needs of our service users
