Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) has an exciting opportunity available for a HR Admin and Recruitment Support Officerto join our team in Maidstone. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working Mondays and Tuesdays (15 hours per week). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP10,725 - GBP11,894 per annum (pro rata GBP26,457 - GBP29,339).

About the role:
As a HR Admin and Recruitment Support Officer, you will be responsible for administering a range of recruitment processes and human resources tasks, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, providing an exceptional service and advice to a range of candidates, colleagues, and customers. You will contribute, as part of the HR Team, to building a diverse and capable workforce.
As our HR Admin and Recruitment Support Officer, you will:
- Undertake the day to day delivery of all HR and Recruitment administration activities and deliver these in line with agreed timescales
- Provide first line assistance on the HR and Absence Helpdesks, via phone and team email inboxes from external and internal customers
- Assist the Recruitment Team with the organisation of all ad-hoc and volume recruitment assessment days, including providing face-to-face support at various locations in Kent
- Continuously review HR and Recruitment administrative practices in order to improve ways of working, to create a more inclusive and customer focused service
- Maintain SharePoint and intranet web pages
- Conduct exit meetings with colleagues leaving the service
- Assist the wider HR Team with other HR administration activities
What we re looking for in ourHR Admin and Recruitment Support Officer:
- Strong organisational skills to manage a range of HR administration activities and being able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to build relationships and interact professionally and courteously, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of customers
- Good knowledge of administration processes including producing and filing documents, record keeping, and accurate data entry
- Experience in prioritising, planning and co-ordinating your own work to meet specific deadlines
- Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to create and edit documents in Word, record data in Excel, and use Outlook
