The HR Services Team deliver high quality value-add HR consultancy services throughout M&G plc. The team apply specialist knowledge, advice and guidance and share best practice to colleagues across the organisation. In addition to this, the team ensures policies and processes are applied in a consistent, fair and professional manner.
An exciting opportunity has come up for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment to join the HR Services team. Working closely with other members of HR, the HR Adviser will suggest and implement process improvements to benefit our colleague outcomes.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Provide expert HR & pay related guidance to the M&G plc business
  • Carry out HR and pay related changes linked to the colleague lifecycle in line with the self-service model, whilst ensuring all activities remain compliant and within policy, legislation, regulatory guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Understand and be competent in all general tasks and processes with the team
  • Deliver on key BAU lifecycle projects and proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure keep to timelines.
  • Support UK Border Agency requirements and other regulatory activity
  • To participate in key BAU and project runway tasks & projects
  • Understand and deliver against service levels and a triage process to deliver exceptional service within the agreed time and quality
  • Use available resources to proactively identify opportunities to improve the HR colleague experience

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience of HR administration and handling colleague (internal or external) queries directly
  • Previous experience of utilising Workday
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience of managing a range of tasks and responsibilities within an HR environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Drive to continually learn and develop
  • A strong customer focus
